If you are submitting an application for commercial use/ construction use/ organization use, please apply for a street closure for commercial permit TNP (Temporary No Parking) at the link below. If this is your organizations first time accessing the commercial permit site, please see below to register your company with the online system.
All applications for a street closure permit must be submitted online at least ten (10) business days in advance of the start date. Due to the volume of requests received, the processing time may exceed 10 business days. The Right-of-Way unit will review closure areas requested by the applicant and determine fees based on duration of request and date of approval. A payment invoice will be emailed to the applicant, and methods of payment include check, money order, and E-pay (checks and money orders can be accepted in-person). The permit will be emailed to the applicant once payment is received by the department.
Note: Effective January 1, 2019, there were fee increases for certain types of streets closure permits.
The Right-of-Way unit may determine if police assistance and/or an inspection is required at the site. If police assistance or inspection is required, additional costs apply.
PLEASE NOTE: An application cannot be processed if it is missing required additional information.
PLEASE NOTE: Work performed in Center City occurring during nights and weekends that impede a travel lane will require police assistance.

Note: All full sidewalk closures(<=1) week, must attach pedestrian detour plan. All full sidewalk closures (>1) week, must attach signed & sealed engineer pedestrian detour plan and letter noting the necessity. A pedestrian cattle must be created in the parking lane, when feasible.
Note: Any type of permit(s) with regards to construction must be entered under the correct permit type or an additional 10 business days will be added for processing time. This includes: Boom, Lift, Fence, Dumpster, Scaffolding, and/or others.
